As in previous editions, offers Joomla! a framework system, which is integrated and easy to use, to all kinds of content for websites to deliver. To the changes in the newly emerging Internet and Web technologies to support required Joomla! a comprehensive restructuring of the core functions. The opportunity was also used by many of the existing user interfaces to simplify. Joomla! has many new features.
The goals for this Joomla! 1.5 edition are: - significant improvements in the use, management and scalability, far beyond the original Mambo foundations
- access to expand to support the internationalization, dual-byte characters and Right-to-left support for Arabian and Hebrew languages
- Enlargement of the integration of external applications through Web Services and Remote as, for example, the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP).
- Supplement the content delivery, template and presentation capability in support of access and content delivery to any objective standards
- Provide a sustainable and flexible framework for system-component and extension developers
- Delivery of Backward-Compatibility with earlier versions of components, and other enhancements as Templates
